I am unable to identify where the additional car parking spaces will be established?
Please find attached the scanned document which the shows the car park’s proposed location much more clearly. It is location 29.
How many pupils do you have at this moment in time?
We currently have 900 students in school including in our 6th Form.
The expansion where will the pupils come from?
It is anticipated that we will continue to attract students from around the Burton Stapenhill area, however, we do have several students who come to us from a wider area including from South Derbyshire and East Staffordshire. We are aware that the funding being made available for this project is from the development of the Drakelow site.
How big will class sizes be?
Class sizes will remain below 30 per class. We have already been admitting additional students, as our consultation letter said, since 2019 so we have been managing this with smaller class groups and additional staff, including teachers
Will there be any new staff?
It is anticipated that we will not require any further additional staff as we have already appointed staff to support the rising student numbers since 2019.
