Student Voice - Currently being updated for 2016/17

The Student Voice team consists of 2 representatives from each form from Yr7 to Yr13. The Forum is designed as an opportunity for students to raise concerns and discuss issues; however, more importantly it is a forum for ideas and solutions.

We encourage the representatives to be open, honest and constructive in their feedback. The SV Forums are held every term.

Currently each year group meets individually – moving forward we shall have cross year group meetings as well. We also have newly nominated ‘Subject Ambassadors’

Each department has elected a number of KS3 & KS4 students to work closely with them.

They will be involved in a variety of roles, but we really want them to be involved with Teaching & Learning, for example:

  • In ICT they have been involved in the new Lego Robotics and use of Raspberry Pi’s
  • In Science & DT they have been involved with Miss Foster on several projects

Finally, we aim to have elected Student Leaders in place for each year group. This team will take on the actions from the Student Voice Forum to make change happen within the school

Ideas for the group to lead on include teaching & learning (maybe attendance at T&L Group), Premises, Sports, Extra-Curricular Activities and Clubs, Charities……

Members of this group would also attend Senior Leadership Team Meetings and Governors’ meetings
