Paulet Takeover Day

During this event, students were given the chance to ‘Take Over’ members of staff’s roles for the day.

We had:

  • Over 100 applications for ‘senior’ roles
  • More than 40 lessons were taken over during the day, every year group - including some 6th form lessons
  • We had more than 50 students conducting lessons during the day
  • 46 feedback forms completed

We then asked our students ‘What did you think of the experience?’ and we received 100% positive feedback including comments like:

“It was fun”
“It was informative and engaging”
“It shows how hard people work for the benefit of others”
“It was amazing – they should do it more times a year!”
“Great work experience”
“The teachers work really hard! I will sleep tonight”
“Amazing – I want to be a cook when I get older”
“I didn’t realise how much fun teaching was”
We then asked ‘Why did you decide to take part?’ and we had some interesting answers:
“Wanted to help”
“Work Experience”
“Curious to learn more about life of teachers”
“Learn a different perspective to school”
Finally, we asked ‘Do you want to take part next year?’ and 100% said Yes
