"Don't Break the Chain" was launched at our Year 11 information evening this week. Let's start to revisit something…

The structure of the Student Voice Team has been changed this year; we now have more students than ever involved:

We have the Student Voice Forum Team:

  • 2 representatives from each form from Yr7 to Yr13
  • The Forum is designed as an opportunity for students to raise concerns and discuss issues
  • However more importantly it is a forum for ideas and solutions
  • We are encouraged to be open and honest - and importantly constructive
  • The SV Forum is held every term

We also have newly nominated ‘Subject Ambassadors’

Each department has elected a number of KS3 & KS4 students to work closely with them. They will be involved in a variety of roles, but we really want them to be involved with Teaching & Learning, for example:

  • In ICT they have been involved in the new Lego Robotics and use of Raspberry Pi’s
  • In Science & DT they have been involved with Miss Foster on several projects

We aim to have elected Student Leaders in place for each year group.

This team will take on the actions from the Student Voice Forum to make change happen within the school

Ideas for the roup to lead on include teaching & learning (maybe attendance at T&L Group), Premises, Sports, Extra-Curricular Activities and Clubs, Charities……

Members of this group would also attend Senior Leadership Team meetings and Governors’ meetings
